On behalf of Kevin, Simon and the Organising Team of Oxford Motor Club can I thank you for supporting our Targa Rally.
It was good to see a lot of returning faces along with a considerable number of newcomers who had entered on the back of all the good reports of last year’s event..
I’ve received several emails and messages of appreciation and praise for the event and I hope you all enjoyed the day and it lived up to your expectations.
Congratulations to all our award winners.
Each class had its own battles but it was Class 2 where the excitement lay – not that I saw much bring glued to my computer all day.
James Griffiths had a flyer on the first test leading the field by 7 seconds which promised much then the clutch let go. After that it was a three-way fight between reigning champions Neil & Alen Jones, newcomer Tom Brooks and Zak Linham and Jamie Yapp and Liam Rollings with just a few seconds separating them throughout the day,
At the end of test 6 there was just 3 seconds between the top 2, Tom took another 4 seconds out of Neil on test 7 and they both posted identical times on test 8 leaving Tom and Zak to take the award for top Interclub competitors from Neil and Aled by just 7 seconds.
In the Clubman class it was Joe and Tim Bagg who took the top overall award by over a minute from second place Rob Palmer and John Wagstaffe.
Once again, thank you for your support and we hope to repeat the event in 2026.
