Saturday 23 Annual Awards Dinner & Disco – The now annual awards dinner was inaugurated at our Centenary Dinner a couple of years ago and it has been a welcome addition to the Oxford MC calendar. This year we have a new format to include a disco after the dinner. See details elsewhere in the newsletter. Don’t forget to get your points in to Jonathan Sargeant too!

Wednesday 3 Annual General Meeting – Please try to attend this meeting at the Cumnor Cricket Club at 8.30pm prompt (doors open at 8.00pm). The Club’s Officers give their reports and you, the membership, have the chance to quiz the outgoing Committee, as well as vote in the new one for the forthcoming year. If you could see yourself in any role on the Committee speak to a current Committee member for information on what’s involved (contact details are on the inside cover of the magazine). All roles are up for nomination (deadline is Wednesday 20 January). Our AGMs usually see a useful exchange of opinions and ideas and are worth attending.

Wednesday 28 Navex - Sturdys Castle- covering about 30 miles using map 164. Signing on from 7.30pm at Sturdy's Castle near Kidlington. No need to book just turn up on the night.

Friday 30 CMSG – Roadsport R3 – Third round of the Costwold Motor Sprot Group Road Series. The event is free to Oxford Motor Club members and will cover about 60 miles on maps 174 and 185.

RDP Welsh Rally - Based in Brecon the event offers approx 85 miles of the most demanding tarmac stages using the fabulous military ranges of Epynt.

Severn Valley National Rally - Based near Builth Wells this event should see a monster entry list tackle the gravel around the Epynet Ranges.

Chatsworth Rally Show - This event combines a show of all types of rally cars with a show stage event in the grounds of Chatsworth House. The competative event sees classes for both modern and historic. Its not just rally cars though and this year will feature for the first time the Baja Chatsworth for "Off Road" cars.

Abingdon Carnival. Back for its 14th year at Dalton Barracks, Abingdon. Event will feature the CAR-nival Sprint and Autosolo on Saturday and the CAR-nival Stages on Sunday. With camping, bbq's as well as a packed entry list the event looks like it will more than live up to previous years. Marshals always needed.

Quinton Stages - Round of the BTRDA forst stage rally championship. Based in Llandovery it offers 45 stage miles around some of the most famous forests of mid-wales including some used by the WRC.

Ross Traders Historic Tour - This daylight historic event is a round of the HRCR's Clubman Rally Championship that runs mainly in nearby Herefordshire. The event starts at the Ross Auction centre and finishes back at the Clubhouse in the town.

David Appleby Engineering Azimghur Stages - This is always won of the best events of the year as various regional championships come together on the wide-open spaces of Colerne Airfield between Chippenham and Bath. Signing on for marshals is between 7 and 7.45am with first car around 9am.

Swansea Bay Rally - Always worth a trip to the Vale of Neath for this one! Around of the MSA National Gravel series and uses some of teh WRC stages. This year will again see shorter stages run twice with Rally HQ at theVillage Hotel on the SA1 complex.

Summer Autosolo - Bristol Motorclub are organising the 5th round of the CMSG Autosolo championship to be held this year at the old Weston airfield near Weston Super Mare. The event will be over subscribed (especially because this will be the last event held there before the venue becomes a housing estate). The course layouts tend to be very open and fast.

Fat Albert Stages - Single venue rally that takes place at Keevil Airfield, near Trowbridge, Wiltshire. The event offers approx 10 stages of 7 miles and features fast and flowing sections along with the very tight and narrow 'nadgery bit'.
Dick Pease will be running the radios and you may need to be aware that the venue does not allow children under 16 years of age - whether competitors, marshals (unless MSA Cadet Marshal) or radio operators.

Harry Flatters Stages - This two day event on the Epynt ranges normally follows the format of recce and scrutineering early on Saturday morning followed by two laps of the ranges in the early evening. Sunday 1 Autotest and BBQ Pusey Lodge Farm - After a successful event last year the autotest will be returning to PusyLodge Farm. This is a family event so bring the kids along for some funand a great BBQ run by Shirley and John. The fun will start in teh afternoon with the autotestand perhaps a chance to have a run through the Bullnose test!

Friday 3 / Saturday 4 Bullnose Endurance Rally - With a very successful event last year in its new format the Bullnose will again be run as a single day endurance style rally. With many local venues needing set-up and marshals we are hoping most of the club members will come out and support the event. Regs and Entry forms are now available on the website.
